we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary yesterday! we took clayton and hunter with us to dinner at the chart house in dana point. we had a great dinner. it was fun to go to a restaurant that uses linen napkins. it was also fun to gawk at the expensive menu. we NEVER go anywhere that nice for dinner. but, it was worth it for a special celebration. we even had a beautiful view of the marina from our table.
doug was so happy to have lobster tail for dinner. (pretty gross if you ask me.) clayton had prime rib and enjoyed every delectable mouthful. hunter had chicken and rice pilaf and actually ate all of his dinner. (that’s rare since he doesn’t like to eat out, and never likes what he orders.) i strayed a bit from my usual diet to have a nice bit of herb-crusted salmon with some veggies. it was delicious! we were treated to complimentary mud pie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. doug and clayton made fast work of the mud pie. hunter and i ate the ice cream. yep, i actually had about 3 bites. (i’m really livin’ on the edge.)
it was a great evening. i just wish nick could have been home to join us!
because the restaurant is built into the bluff, you enter upstairs and walk down.

Congratulations! You have me beat by two years. We will celebrate our 23rd this August.
